IMS Policy – quality, environmental protection, information safety, occupational safety and health protection

MERO ČR, a. s. is the only crude oil pipeline operator in the Czech Republic. It transports crude oil via pipelines Družba and IKL and operates the Central Tank Farm storing the national crude oil reserves.

MERO ČR, a. s. and its subsidiary MERO Germany AG strive to satisfy their customers’ needs, and have therefore decided to meet all the requirements imposed by the Standard ISO 9001 as a part of the corporate Integrated Management System.

MERO ČR, a. s. and its subsidiary MERO Germany AG consider environmental protection a natural commitment relevant to all their business activities. To stress this attitude, they have launched an environmental management system based on ISO 14001. ISO 14001.

In order to ensure protection of information MERO ČR, a. s. has decided to extend IMS with ISO 17799 requirements.

MERO ČR, a. s. and its subsidiary MERO Germany AG are concerned with occupational safety and protection of health of their employees. The same emphasis is placed on safe equipment operation in order to prevent serious accidents. This part of their activities has thus been integrated into the management system by meeting the requirements of OHSAS 18001, of Act No.59/2006 Sb. and of the Council Directive 96/82/EC.


With respect to these facts, the company declares the following:

  • Customer satisfaction is the ultimate priority in all our activities.
  • Permanent compliance with the applicable legal requirements concerning protection of the environment in the Czech Republic and in Germany as well as with the requirements related to occupational safety and health protection is considered an evident and minimum standard.
  • Our activities are focused on improving prevention of negative impacts on the environment and accident prevention. The company will apply optimum and available technical and management tools to prevent damage to the environment and to health of the employees and the general public.
  • We will carry out regular inspections and evaluations of the Integrated Management System; we will determine measurable goals, competencies and resources for that purpose.

  • We will keep all involved parties informed about changes and approaches within compliance with the defined IMS policy.
  • We will implement measures to optimize use of resources necessary for various activities, namely for maintenance, emergency readiness and protection of information, the environment and health.
  • We will support continuous improvement of management systems to achieve business excellence in all areas of our activity and management.
